Manufacturing peculiarity. All manufacturing operations have been performed by Fanagoria Estate Winery: special ‘brandy’ grapevines were cultivated in the corporate vineyards in the Taman peninsula; distillation was performed in the inhouse copper alembic; the brandy spirits were matured for 3 years in Caucasian oak barrels crafted by the Fanagoria cooperage.
Sensory characteristics. The brandy has a rich amber colour with sparks of gold, a complex flavour with bright woody and light tarry and spicy nuances, notes of smoked apricots and figs. It feels mild on the palate, with warm notes of honey and dried fruit, and a long warming aftertaste.
