Manufacturing peculiarity. The brandy is crafted as blend of distillates from four white grape varieties: Chardonnay, Aligoté, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc, matured for 10 years in in-house made casks from 100-year-old Caucasus oak. All operations – from grapevine cultivation to distillation to bottling – are located within one place: at Fanagoria Estate Winery. Special ‘brandy’ grapevines were cultivated in the corporate vineyards in the Taman peninsula; distillation was performed in the inhouse copper alembic; Caucasian oak barrels crafted by the Fanagoria cooperage.
Sensory peculiarities: Dark amber colour. In the bouquet, oaky notes, blooming jasmine, dried fruits (apricots, figs); vanilla, tarry notes, coffee, and chocolate. Taste: extractive and soft, with a prolonged nutty-tarry aftertaste.
Serving advice: a tulip-shaped glass.
We guarantee precise adherence to all traditional brandy production technologies, and scrupulous quality control of the grapes, distillates and the entire process of brandy maturation.
